Colfax Half Marathon

We ran in a half marathon on May 17 in Denver. We finished in 2 hours, yay! I was really glad we accomplished this together because I have trained for about 3 half marathons but never completed the race.

It was neat to be able to see Denver and explore the city for the first time. I was blown away by how much I have adjusted to small town life. Having to drive 15 minutes to eat and then pay $20 for parking left me in shock. Even though Denver is in Colorado, the drive to the mountains is still far. It is just another big city, with big city problems.

After the half marathon, I decided I would start training for a marathon in October. I joined a running group here in town in hopes that I will actually finish. Only one other girl ever shows up which is a little disappointing. So it looks like Will and I will be training for this race together also.
